Product Photography Resources

We put together this list of tools we’ve found that are helpful for shooting product images. We’ll continue to update this list as we find more helpful tools!

Weebly Photo Studio - Just in case you skipped the content and went straight to the resources section, we wanted you to remind you about our professional product photo service. We made this service just so our merchants can get great product photos — so you should definitely sign up!

Pixc - If your product photos are almost there, but you just need some help retouching, consider Pixc. For a relatively low monthly fee, you can send them your photos and they’ll remove the background for you. We tried it with this pretty awful picture of a unicorn pinata:

And got this back:

It’s not a perfect service but it’ll do the trick if you’re 90% there.

Smartshoot - If you want to take a more hands-on approach to product photography, we highly recommend using Smartshoot. This service will link you up with professional photographers who will go to your home and shoot your products within your set-up. This is a great way to get lifestyle shots or, if you’re selling apparel, shots of your products on models or human beings. They have an excellent, easy-to-use interface and are great for merchants who want to be involved in every step of the process.

Foldio360 - A great way to get 360-degree images without too much of a hassle.

GIFBrewery - Do you want cool GIFs without having to use Photoshop? GIFBrewery is a fast and easy way to create GIFs.

Pixelmator & GIMP - Photo editing software that’s a bit less powerful than Photoshop but can do the trick.
